Chris started his career as an architect with Richard Rogers in London where he spent 9 years working on projects around the world.  He joined Heatherwick Studio in 2016 to help design and deliver Google’s new flagship headquarters in Mountain View California with BIG.  

 

Before architecture, Chris spent 4 years working on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs as a fixed income asset manager trader.  Helping to manage portfolios of large institutional clients, he learned the importance of maintaining wealth and managing risk. 

 

At Duke University, Chris studied economics and computer science.  After graduating he moved to New York City to join Goldman.  Working downtown the morning of September 11th had a profound impact.  Though he had always been interested in architecture, over the coming years watching NYC attempt to rebuild, he realized the symbolism that architecture could have and the importance of design in our everyday lives.  Eventually he left Wall Street to pursue a masters of architecture at Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation.  

 

He is licensed in California and New York and a member of the AIA.  He lives in Menlo Park, California with his wife and daughter.  In his free time, Chris likes to cycle and swim.  Give him a call if you want to join him on a ride or in the  pool!
